Simon² ist eine vielschichtige Kombination aus Electro- und Tech-House, der aufgrund seiner im Hip-Hop liegenden Wurzeln das Publikum immer wieder durch technisch hoch versierte und innovative Sets verblüfft und in seinen Bann zieht.
Bereits als 16 jähriger tourte Simon² mit verschiedenen nationalen Jazzmusikern quer durch Deutschland und steuerte seine scratches für diverse Hip-Hop-, Jazz- und Rockalben bei. Etwa zur gleichen Zeit begann der schon früh dem Funk und Turntablism verschriebene Junge sich durch die nationalen Clubs zu spielen, wo er durch seinen ganz eigenen Stil schnell auf sich aufmerksam machte. In seinen Sets versucht er stets seine musikalisch breit gefächerten Interessen zu einem einheitlichen Ganzen zu verschmelzen, wobei er den Plattenspieler mehr als Instrument begreift, dessen er sich bedient um neue Klangwelten zu kreieren und sich so vom meist rein reproduktiven Charakter eines DJ´s distanziert.
Als Mainresident der deutschlandweit bekannten und geschätzten Partyreihe Loonyland
spielte er bereits an der Seite zahlloser internationaler Acts. Im Jahre 2008 begann Simon²
vermehrt mit eigenen Produktionen auf sich aufmerksam zu machen und veröffentlichte bis
heute auf Labels wie Kittball, Phunkwerk und Superstar. Der Remix des belgischen
Produzenten Kolombo für Simon’s Track „Cogito“ oder ein Feature mit Tocadisco für dessen
erstes Soloalbum runden das Gesamtbild seiner ersten Veröffentlichungen ab und bestätigen
den Stellenwert, den Simon² bei seinen DJ Kollegen genießt.

Nicolas Stefan is a talented youngster that is dwelling in the lovely town of Solingen, situated right in the middle between Cologne and Duesseldorf. One could almost say that the geographics are audible on his K2 release "Time Is Over".
